Hope for the Future Campaign and Art Exhibtion             www.hopeforthefuture.ca

"HOPE FOR THE FUTURE" is a campaign founded by many prominent volunteers and the Founder William Ho, an internationally renowned artist and speaker hoping to raise awareness among Canadians to the urgent needs of the children affected by HIV/AIDS worldwide and raise funds to assist existing charitable organizations and this Campaign itself for these children. We are honored by the kind support of the Hon. Vivienne Poy, Senator of Canada to be our Honorary Patron of the Campaign and the Art Exhibition, and Hon. Raymond Chan, Minister of State (Multiculturalism) to be our Honorary Co-Chair of the Art Exhibition. This HOPE FOR THE FUTURE Art Exhibition is the inaugural event of the long-term Campaign HOPE FOR THE FUTURE.

May we also present some facts related to children and HIV/AIDS:
  • Globally there are over 38 million people living with HIV/AIDS.
  • Every month 300,000 adults and children perish of AIDS- a monthly death rate that is equal to the total amount of deaths suffered in the recent Tsunami disaster in Southeast Asia - and it is happening continually and the number is increasing.
  • By 2003, 15 million children were orphaned by HIV/AIDS worldwide. 12 millions of these orphaned children live in sub-Saharan Africa. And estimated 1.5 million of them are in China.

CHILDREN ARE OUR FUTURE; LET US GIVE THE FUTURE MORE HOPE!
This campaign will be a long- term mission to help this valuable part of our global human family: our children affected by HIV/AIDS. Both Africa and China have been chosen as the initial focus of our fundraising campaign. We are also inviting Canadian children from different communities to participate in the campaign. We want our children to share their love to other children too. It is never too early to teach our children to love and care.
